Bold stripes made a huge statement this season, with collections like Prada and Jil Sander leading the pack. We turned to FLARE’s fashion interns to spill some of their best tips on how to pull off one of the season’s hottest trends.

1. Bright colours. Up the impact with bold stripes and an in-your-face colour palette. Pair with classic outerwear staples—like a cargo or denim jacket - to keep the look balanced.

2. Stripes on stripes. Turn heads in a mix-match of horizontal and vertical lines à la Jil Sander. Wear stripes-on-stripes with a midi skirt, contrasting blouse and messenger bag.

3. Mix prints. Channel Prada with unlikely pattern pairings. Partner a classic stripe with a bright floral or quirky fruit print.
4. Accessorize. If head-to-toe prints aren’t for you, incorporate extras to capture the look. Try a stack of striped bangles, scarf or colour-blocked espadrille.
