Show Review: Prada Fall / Winter 2011-2012

Dropped waist coats and shift dresses worn with low slung belts and below the knee boots were the call for Prada’s Fall / Winter 2011-2012 collection.

A-line and straight silhouettes pumped down the runway in tomato red, plum, teal, and forest green, accented by top handle totes and bags clutched fiercely to the chest.

3/4 length sleeves perfectly highlighted kidskin leather gloves, and large buttons and lapels danced on coats, skirts, and tops.

Miuccia showcased her signature quirk with plaid dresses and pleated skirts that gave off a Mondrian feel.

While most pieces exuded classic elegance, a few furry items gave me pause:


But the collection was ultimately redeemed with a series of vibrant hued large sequined minis, accented by knit caps and fur stoles:
