Calvin Klein Fall 2011

Precision and minimalism — these are two things that the house of Calvin Klein and designer Francisco Costa are famous for. Fall delivered on those, plus the promise of technology. http://www.harpersbazaar.com/cm/harpersbazaar/images/Yd/hbz-calvin-klein-wf11-01-de.jpg

Costa's shapes were elegantly simple — swing dresses (that didn't wreak of 60s Mod, but rather lightly touched on), boxy or molded coats and suits. The closest he came to embellishment was a half-leather, half-wool dress or a pair of white jersey sheaths with leather details at the neck. As boring as this may sound, they looked anything but.

In some places, texture replaced print, pattern and embellishment. Especially beautiful was a creamy white coat that was half-wool, half-shearling (the half-and-half coat was a trend this season).
