Street Style: New York Fashion Week Fall 2011

STROLLING ABOUT

Alexandra Agoston with a reminder that a hole on a jean is really cool. I love her relaxed and effortless cool style.

A TOUCH OF SPRING

Maria Vu in a perfect transition-into-spring outfit. The temperature in New York is the opposite of stable so this is a great solution. I love the combination of soft and flowy mixed with sturdy leather and heavy knit. She is wearing a dress, leather jacket and knitted sweater all by 3.1 Phillip Lim and Balenciaga boots.

RODARTE F/W-11/12

Rodarte always manages to make the most brilliant shows. I love the choreography as well as the props. The collection was slightly less structured than previous collections. The corn field print is such a great idea! I love the sweater that looks like Demi Moore’s sweater in “About last night”, as well as the 50′s silhouette dresses in the thick couch like fabrics – I’m a big fan of couch fabrics as you may have seen here.

MUSE US

The lovely Arizona Muse with a last name that is already doing her justice. She looks absolutely amazing in this Marc Jacobs artwork of a coat.

ACNE F/W 11-12

DIY PANDA

This proves that winter doesn’t need to be all dark colors, nor color blocking. Andreea Diaconu’s Marni bag is amazing! And how great is that Panda attached to her lapel?! I smell a DIY coming up, perfect to do with my friends kids. If you don’t have the patience or any kids to make it with, you can contact Taj Melendez that is the maker of Andrea’s Panda.

THAT CHAIR

I have always wanted a chair like this that I found in Brooklyn this weekend but unfortunately it was too ragged to bring home. So for now a picture with it will have to do. How pretty is it?! I’m wearing a post fashion week outfit, hence the complete grey and black. The cashmere sweater is from H&M men’s, pants Zara and boots Rag & Bone.

BEST COAT

Tabitha Simmons in perhaps one of the best coats ever perfectly worn together with a pair of dark blue jeans. The cut and shape is extraordinary, what else to expect when it’s by McQueen. As well as being a great stylist she’s also a shoe designer, here is a link to her collection.

IN LONDON

Beautiful Elin Kling in textures in navy and black.

ACNE F/W 2011

Acne’s F/W11 collection was filled with greatly cut leather pants, tulle sticking out from dresses and pants as well as attached over thicker fabrics, beautifully shaped shoes and a very inspiring color palette. Jonny Johansson keeps creating silhouettes and clothes that pushes the limits while at the same time being aesthetically pleasing.
